Friends & Family Caregiver Support Program

The Friends and Family Caregiver Support Program (FFCSP) is funded by the United Way of Northern BC to work in collaboration with Family Caregivers of British Columbia (FCBC) and Caregiver Support Programs (CSP) of British Columbia.

FFCSP provides the following services to the caregivers:

Individualized one-to-one support by phone, virtual meeting and in-person. Information, referral and caregiver navigation.

      1. Become informed about the disease, trajectory of the illness, and impact on the care recipient.

      2. Informal, non-medical respite and friendly visits to provide a break away (through a relaxation or rejuvenation) from their care recipients.

        3. Informed education and fun self-care activities.

          4. Connection to improve social well-being and enhancement of caregiver skills to foster sense of confidence and well-being. They need a support system of family/friends/social services to help them in the process: FCBC & Caregiver Support Programs.

Support to caregivers to be their strength knowing that they are not alone and for caregivers experiencing or suffering from:
